Organic Workshop scheduled…The Alabama Organic Consumers’ Education Workshop Series will present a program, Educating Alabama Consumers on Organic Food, on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, in Dothan at the Houston County Farm Center, 1699 Ross Clark Circle, Suite 4. Due to unusually high rainfall, the seasonal, summer crop availability is very limited. These times are usually temporary and transitional. While our typical summer harvest may not be abundant, we are still able to eat locally, year round. During these seasonal times, the availability will be more local, value-added products that are canned, baked, mixed, frozen, artisanal and delicious!
Last week, Farmers Daughters Co-op Box featured: Whole Wheat Seeded Bread, Eggs Or Honey, Watermelon, White Peas (fresh, shelled), Okra, Mixed Peppers and Eggplant. Co-op Box changes weekly…Easy ordering: No subscription required!
