This is the stuff your grandpa used to start the fire in the fireplace. We cherish our old growth stand of Long Leaf pine and wouldn't think of cutting any down for this product. It's from stumps and downed logs that are scattered throughout the farm. It's super aromatic when freshly split and lights up immediately. A 1# bundle will have 10-12 sticks that are 8-10 inches long. I usually only need 3-4 to get a fire started. If you have never used this before you have to try it! They're selling this on eBay for $12/pound but I'm letting it go for $3/pound because it's cold and ya'll need to get your fires going.

You can put a couple of dry bay leaves in the top of flour, cornmeal, rice, oatmeal containers and it will keep small pests OUT. So even if you don't want to cook with Mrs. Liz's leaves, a few of them in places around the kitchen where you don't want creepy crawlies is a wonderful chemical free way to help discourage them. FYI, this tree came from Dothan Nurseries a few years back. They are known as bay laurels and the nursery has them in stock!

I created this recipe because I was in desperate need of something to help heal my cracked heels and extremely dry skin on my legs. Being barefoot and out in the weather all the time I needed something natural to help! Thus my masterpiece! Wonderful for ANYTHING that needs deep moisturization! It stays on longer then lotion and doesn't wash off easily in water. It has a blend of four essential oils. It comes in a tube that makes it easy to apply to your skin.
