Thank you to everyone who has stuck with M@D these hot summer days. Despite the heat we still deliver the best FRESH, LOCAL, SUSTAINABLE and YEAR ROUND food products in the Wiregrass. We are looking forward to fall and the seasonal changes it brings to our food listings.

Many thanks to VIKI RICHTER for pitching in while this editor/manager recoups from eye surgery. Better vision will be a great blessing once everything is healed up!

We all love shopping with M@D so make sure to CHECK OUT once you have all your goods in your shopping cart. This step adds you to the customer list and tells our vendors what to bring for you. No check out = no order.

You may have noticed we've not had pictures recently. We don't like it either. Hopefully that will be rectified by the next order cycle as we are in the process of changing photo managers.

Lastly, if you've not played around with some of the settings on our Shop Local tab at marketatdothan.locallygrown.net, there are three ways you can narrow your search to find what you are looking for:

  1. The SEARCH feature is by far the easiest way to find what you want, but sometimes, because growers don't always describe products the same way (like Horton's Farm using the word “Cackleberries” instead of “eggs”, it can be useful to use other search features.

  2. Under “Categories” on the left margin click whatever type foods you are interested in. For example, clicking Eggs will bring up all the available eggs from the growers who have them listed for that week. You can read what's been written about the product and see the quantity available. Some listings, like Meat, have sub-categories so explore those as well.

  3. If you wish to view products from a particular grower go to “Growers” under the Categories list. You will need to uncheck all the growers except for the one you are interested in.
