Oct. 30, 2021 M@D Newsletter - It's Time to Order!
BLAST FROM THE PAST
With this being the 5th week of October we thought we’d do something different.
Did you know that our website, marketatdothan.locallygrown.net contains a LOT of History?
Those of you who have been with us a while have probably noticed that in your customer file you can see purchases from wayyyyyyyy back. That’s your order history.
Our GROWER PAGE isn’t quite as lengthy as we try to keep that cleaned up showing mostly current and recent vendors. Some of the ones we started with in 2010 are no longer in business!
The best place to view history however is the WEBLOGS. At the bottom of the page in green letters (admittedly hard to see against the background) are pages containing EVERY NEWSLETTER for the last 11 years!
Check this from April 3, 2013:Thanks to JD and wonderful staff at Dothan Nurseries! What a blessing to be a small part of such a special place. The Market at Dothan has the most beautiful setting of any market! The staff is always willing to lend a helping hand with a smile on their face…we appreciate you!
Thanks to the best customers in the Wiregrass! Without your loyal support of local food the market would not be possible! We are so grateful to see you every Friday…you are our sunshine!

Thanks to our awesome vendors! Their products are top quality each week…fresh, fresh, fresh! Plus, they all deliver friendly service with a smile :)
Have a great week! See you Friday…
Gratefully,
Susan & Amanda
That was the entire newsletter! And it was wonderful!
In case you’re wondering Susan and Amanda were/are our founders. They did something remarkable in transitioning a small tent market to an online market, no small task when many people still didn’t have laptops, let alone smart phones.
Fyi, the above newsletter was on page 45 of our weblog history, before the newsletter included recipes or photos! These photos were published later that year. They were borrowed from a sister market in Athens, GA.
We encourage you to poke around – There’s a lot of good info in there and who knows what kind of treasure you may find!
GROWER & MARKET NOTES
GROWS IN ROWS TURKEY PICKUP DATE:
Our Thanksgiving week order cycle will run from Saturday Nov. 20 to Monday, Nov. 22. Pickup will be Wednesday, Nov 24, the day before Thanksgiving. This schedule was set so that those who have ordered fresh turkeys from Grows in Rows can pick them up, fresh and unfrozen, within 24 hours of butchering. You just can’t get fresher than that!
VIP: NO MARKET THE FOLLOWING WEEK BUT YOU MAY STILL SHOP FROM OUR VENDORS AT . . . . .
We thank you for your interest and support of our efforts to bring you the healthiest, the freshest and the most delicious locally-produced foods possible!
